An Artisian praline company
founded on the love between
a mother and her son.

Ms. Emma started making pralines about twelve (12) years ago after she and her siblings decided to have a little cooking competition. She assures us that she won. And while we weren't there to judge, the continued popularity and demand for her pralines make us believe she did.

She passed her recipe on to her son (Charles), who also shares her love for cooking.  Ms. Emma was determined to retire her apron.  But after Charles and Lisa requested her pralines as a wedding favor for their guests, Ms. Emma went back into the kitchen to prepare pralines for almost 200 guests.  Once the wedding excitement settled down, Charles and Lisa were still getting rave reviews on the pralines.

Not long after, Charles and Lisa convinced Ms. Emma to go into business ad Mother & Son's Praline Co. was born.  Now here we are sharing a family favorite with the masses.

About Us

Meet The Team
Charles Lemons IV
Co-Owner/Operator
A former college football defensive tackle, these days Charles finds himself tackling the business world as he grows and develops businesses in the hospitality and property management industries. He shares a love for cooking with his mother, Ms. Emma. So naturally, he would be hands on with his team mixing pralines. Charles focuses on producing a quality product. He is vital to the mixing process; and brings years of business experience to the company.

Charles's goal is to help develop Mother & Son's Praline Co. into an international brand; while also growing a company that is of service to the community and an encouragement to anyone from a small community who has a dream.

Lisa V. Lemons
Co-Owner/Operator
As an Attorney, Lisa brings an operational, legal and administrative arm to the business. She's also a creative person at heart, so when she's not wearing her legal hat, she's packaging pralines; learning new and creative ways to develop the brand and establish corporate relationships.

Lisa leaves the mixing of pralines to her partners, "Mother & Son".  She takes more of a behind the scenes role and doesn't mind working the nuts and bolts of growing a new business.

In addition to growing Mother & Son's into an international brand, Lisa's goal is to help the company develop its reputation as a company that is socially aware, generous, and responsible. The ultimate goal is to grow a company that not only cares about pralines but also cares about people.

Emma R. Fontenot
Co-Owner/Operator
Grandmother, friend, samaritan, and retiree are just a few of the titles by which Ms. Emma is known. And now, as part owner of Mother & Son’s Praline Co. she is most excited about adding the title entrepreneur to her list of associations.  Sharing a special bond with her son Charles and both having a love for cooking, opening a business together was a natural and obvious choice.

Ms. Emma plays several roles in the company.  However, her most important role is Chief Mixing Operator (“CMO”).  In this role, Ms. Emma focusses on ensuring that each batch is always executed with exactness and most of all love.  Adhering to high-quality standards, Ms. Emma works to ensure that the processes always meets a high standard of care.

Anchored in her faith, Ms. Emma’s relationship with Christ and commitment to helping people, were essential in establishing some of the core principals of the company.  Her goals are to bring her pralines to the world and encourage people to dream big at every age and every stage of life.
